After a packed Tangol tour, Hotel do Porto was a really pleasant place to recharge. Check-in took barely five minutes, and the front desk already had my room details ready; check-out was just as smooth, with no waiting around for a taxi. I especially enjoyed the pool after walking around Porto Velho—the water was cool and the shallow end had a clean blue tile bench. Prado’s beach and historic center were practically on our doorstep at Pousada da Barra. From Rua São Benedito, I could walk to the waterfront in five minutes and reach the main square’s cafés without a taxi; a short drive took us to Tororão Beach and its viewpoint. The room was simple but spotless, with reliable air-conditioning and a surprisingly good breakfast of warm pão de queijo and fresh papaya. For the price, this location and friendly service were excellent value.

Recanto Da Lua

Recanto da Lua was a great place to slow down after busy travel days. The biggest surprise was how quiet it felt, even with the hotel close to Av. Treze de Maio. We slept with the window slightly open and barely heard anything besides a few birds in the morning. Check-in took less than five minutes; the receptionist already had our room cards and explained the Wi-Fi while we signed one form. Check-out was just as quick, with the deposit returned immediately. Our whole group really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and friendly service during our first international family trip.

Traveling with my teenage daughter, we loved the relaxed, central feel of Pousada Canto do Rio. Our second-floor room looked over the river, and the late-afternoon light on the water was beautiful—especially with the little balcony table for morning coffee. The room was simple but spotless; the shower had strong pressure, too. For the price, it felt genuinely worthwhile, and the staff even lent us beach towels without charging. As part of our Tangol tour, we spent several nights at Casarao da Terra and found it excellent value for money. The room was simple but spotless, with a comfortable bed and reliable air conditioning. The staff were genuinely kind; one morning, a receptionist packed us fruit and coffee when we left early for an excursion. Its central Prado location made restaurants and shops easy to reach. We would happily stay again.
