After picking you up at your hotel, we will go to the winery chosen that day, all located on the outskirts of Montevideo.
Upon entering the cellar we can perceive the importance of the place. The faintest lights, fresh temperature, and above all the exquisite aroma of oak and wine.
The barrels are the cradles where the wines rest during their aging. The oak contributes to the wine typical flavors and aromas of the wood; as vanilla, chocolate, tobacco. In addition the porosity of the wood allows a micro oxygenation. This passage of oxygen generates chemical reactions between the tannins of the wine that soften it and make the wine maintain a good structure but with soft tannins in the mouth.
After the tour, we will begin with the wine tasting. We will be able to taste 4 types of wines paired with fine cheese.
If you chose the option with lunch, then you will be taken to the lounge where you wil l enjoy a 3-step lunch, which includes starter, main course (meat, pasta or fish) and dessert or coffee, accompanied with water and wine.
