Check-in took barely five minutes; the receptionist had my key ready and pointed out the breakfast room without a long speech. I liked the shaded courtyard too; there are cushioned chairs, low tables, and a quiet corner where I ate birthday cake from a nearby bakery. After a full day exploring Colonia, the quiet at Lomas Del Real Aparthotel felt wonderful. Our room faced the back side, so we barely heard anything beyond the occasional bird; even mornings were wonderfully still. Breakfast was simple but genuinely tasty: warm croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, and excellent coffee, plus homemade orange marmalade. We also enjoyed dinner there one evening—grilled fish with lemon and herbs, served with a crisp salad. The apartment was comfortable and practical, and the peaceful atmosphere made our summer stay feel especially restful.
