Best Arrival Ever: Smooth Transfer, Giant Tortoises, And Epic Lava Tunnels Honestly, this was the chillest way to land in the Galápagos. Met at Baltra, quick hop across the canal, then a comfy ride toward Puerto Ayora with a super friendly Tangol guide. The stop at the turtle ranch was magic - massive tortoises roaming everywhere, so close but still respectful. Then we wandered through lava tunnels that felt straight out of an adventure movie. No hassles with bags, no waiting around, and we still made it to town with time to spare. If you want your transfer to double as a mini-tour, this is the move.Reviewed by Alex Carter - 02/06/2026
