DAY 1
AM: Arrival to Iquitos City: Our crew will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you in our comfortable, and private transport. We will travel to the city of Nauta, around 95 km. away, where they will embark on Delfin II.
Once on board Dolphin II, our qualified staff will receive and assist you, to your comfortable and cozy suites, duly equipped and with all the comforts. While the cruise departs, you can enjoy the most fantastic view panoramic, while our bartender will be waiting to serve you a exotic snack made with fruits of the region and pisco, the typical liquor from Peru.
Then your guide will give you a general explanation of the schedules of the crossing, activities, routes, wildlife and vegetation.
PM Rainy season: We will visit Pahuachiro, on an excursion by boat where you can see a beautiful sunset, and animals like monkeys and birds. We will have dinner, and then we will visit Nauta Caño, famous for its monkeys, birds and dolphins. We will return to the cruise to spend the night.
PM Dry Season: We will leave by boat along the Marañon river, to see interesting animals like lazy bears and iguanas, plus a wide variety of birds. We will return to the cruise, have dinner and spend the night.
DAY 2
** RAINY SEASON **
AM: Before breakfast, we`ll go out for visit Las Palmas, where we can see birds and look for lazy bears. We will return to the cruise for breakfast, and again we will do another excursion, this time to through the Yanayacu and Pucate rivers.
You can interact with nature kayaking or paddle board, and if you wish, you can swim in the river with pink dolphins. We will return to the cruise and then have lunch.
PM: In the afternoon we will visit the Amazon Natural Park, to learn about the great variety of medicine plants that we will find in this area. We will return to the cruise, and have dinner.
At night, we will visit an Amazonian community, where you will experience a ceremony with a shaman, a spiritual healer.
** DRY SEASON **
AM: After breakfast, we will visit the Fundo Casual by boat exploration and jungle trek. We`ll go deep in the jungle, and if you want, you can buy local crafts. We will return to the cruise, and then we`ll have lunch.
PM: Our second excursion will be to cross the Yanayacu and Pucate rivers, where you can go kayaking or on paddle boards. If you want, you can swim in the river with pink dolphins.
At night, we will have a safari to search birds, frogs and all of kind of insects. We will return to the cruise to have dinner, and spend the night.
DAY 3
** RAINY SEASON **
AM: After breakfast, we`ll start navigate to the Yanayaquillo River, a very well preserved and protected area of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. We will return to the cruise, and later enjoy a delicious lunch.
PM: In the afternoon, we will undertake a boat trip on the Marañon River until we reach an area known as Piña Piña. You can explore the place by kayak or skiff. We will return to the cruise to rest, and then we will have a farewell dinner.
At night, we are going to explore Puerto Prado, with a spectacular night walk. We will find insects, birds and frogs, and we will continue on a night safari to search for alligators.
** DRY SEASON **
AM: In the morning we will visit the Amazon National Park, with a nice natural walk to learn about medicinal plants of the wonderful Peruvian jungle. We will return to the cruise to rest, and then we`ll have lunch.
PM: Our next excursion will be visit the community in Puerto Prado, where you will see how they live and what customs they keep up with the years. We will see animals at the confluence of the Amazon river. We will return to the cruise, and we will have our farewell dinner.
DAY 4
After breakfast, we will disembark at the Nauta port. The land crew will wait for you, to take you 95 kilometers to Iquitos City. On the way to Iquitos airport, we will visit the Amazon Rescue Center (ACOBIA) with the opportunity to meet the Amazonian manatee babies, and learn everything related to these wonderful and docile creatures.
We will transfer you to the International Airport Coronel Francisco Secada Vignetta in Iquitos City.
