ITINERARY

DAY 1.

Welcome to the Amazon Adventure!

Our team will warmly greet you at the airport and take you in a luxurious private vehicle to Nauta, a 2-hour journey during which you’ll enjoy an exquisite lunch box. Upon arrival, you will receive a VIP welcome at our exclusive port, where the majestic Delfin ship will be waiting for you.

On board, you’ll be welcomed by our highly qualified staff, who will escort you to your suite, specially equipped with all the comforts for an experienced traveler like yourself.

As the Delfin begins its voyage, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view from our elegant third deck. Your naturalist guide will provide an overview of the itinerary, including activities, routes, and highlights of the Amazon’s flora and fauna.

 

**Rainy Season**

At dusk, we will explore Pahuachiro on the Marañón River. Here, you can observe birds and playful monkeys. As night falls, the jungle transforms, and you’ll have the chance to spot caimans, bats, and other fascinating nocturnal creatures. Return to the cruise for dinner.

 

**Dry Season**

Our first excursion will take us to the Marañón River, ideal for bird and monkey watching. Your naturalist guide will point out animals resting in the treetops or along the riverbank as the sun decorates the landscape with its colors—a perfect opportunity to photograph your first Amazon sunset. Return to the cruise for dinner.

 

DAY 2.

We’ll start our morning with a fascinating boat excursion through Iquitos Caño, immersing ourselves in the lush biodiversity of the Amazon. Enjoy spectacular bird and sloth watching at dawn.

Later, we’ll take a hike through the Amazon Natural Park, where you’ll learn about medicinal plants used by the local population.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet Carola, a renowned “white” shaman and spiritual healer in the region.

After a delicious lunch, we’ll sail through these rivers, passing streams and lagoons in one of the best-preserved areas of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. You can venture out in kayaks to closely observe nature and the magical pink dolphins.

After dinner, enjoy a night walk through the jungle.

 

**Dry Season**

After dinner, take a nighttime boat tour to observe the jungle’s nightlife, including caimans and bats.

 

DAY 3.

**Rainy Season**

Our exclusive boat excursion through the Nauta Caño stream will allow you to discover the fascinating local fauna, such as charming squirrel monkeys and the impressive silver-backed tamarillo monkey. Sail along the riverbank in search of small caimans, colorful spiders, and insects of all shapes and sizes.

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll delve into the magical Fundo Casual. Here, you’ll walk on firm ground through the lush jungle, guided by experts who will reveal the secrets of Amazonian flora and fauna. You might encounter anacondas, stunning rainbow boas, mysterious tarantulas, vibrant poison dart frogs, and adorable sloths. Additionally, you’ll witness the tallest tree in the region.

Upon returning to the ship, you can enjoy onboard activities, a delicious lunch, and free time to relax. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the impressive “Union of the Rivers,” a confluence point where you can toast while admiring the different colors of the three rivers. Here, the Ucayali River joins the Marañón River, forming the famous Amazon River. This location is perfect for witnessing a spectacular farewell sunset in one of the world’s most magical destinations.

Aboard our comfortable boats, we will visit a local community, home to generations of Amazonian inhabitants. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the children in a typical school and see their radiant smiles. Additionally, we’ll stop at an artisanal market, where the talented women of the community exhibit and sell their incredible artworks and crafts.

We’ll return to the cruise for a farewell dinner.

 

**Dry Season**

Immerse yourself in a unique experience with our breakfast on board while we sail through the majestic Nauta Caño stream. This fascinating place is home to charming Squirrel Monkeys and Silver-Backed Tamarillo Monkeys, as well as an impressive variety of birds, dolphins, and sloths.

We’ll travel along the riverbank in search of small caimans, colorful spiders, and surprisingly shaped and sized insects. We’ll take advantage of the calm waters to fish for the famous piranha, where you can learn more about this intriguing creature.

Aboard our comfortable boats, you’ll visit a local community that has called the Amazon home for generations. Experience the warmth of its inhabitants and visit a typical school where children will welcome you with joy. You’ll have the opportunity to explore an artisanal market, where the talented women of the community exhibit and sell their incredible artworks and crafts.

We’ll return to the ship to rest and enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by onboard activities that will allow you to relax and recharge for the afternoon.

In the afternoon, we’ll delve into the jungle through Fundo Casual, a fascinating journey on firm ground. Your guide will reveal the secrets of Amazonian flora and fauna, where you might see anacondas, rainbow boas, tarantulas, poison dart frogs, and sloths. At the end of the tour, you’ll admire the tallest tree in the region.

Our adventure will culminate at the impressive confluence of the rivers, known as the “Union of the Rivers.” Here, we will toast while admiring the different colors of the three rivers coming together in an unparalleled natural spectacle. We’ll witness an unforgettable sunset in this magical destination, a perfect farewell for a day filled with wonders.

We’ll close the day with a farewell dinner aboard the cruise.

 

DAY 4.

Enjoy your last breakfast as the cruise approaches the port of Nauta. From there, our team will take you on a comfortable trip to Iquitos, where we will visit the Amazon Forever Rescue and Rehabilitation Center for River Mammals. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and learn about baby manatees and other rescued animals.

Finally, our team will assist you with your luggage and check-in at the airport, bidding you farewell with the best memories of your magical Amazon adventure.

* Itineraries are subject to change depending on weather conditions and time of year.

* Weather: The weather in Iquitos is warm and humid, the temperature varies between 33°C (90°F) and 21°C (70°F). The rainy season (high water) is from November to May. The dry season (low water) is from June to October. Each season presents dramatic differences in vegetation, animals and climate.

* There is no Internet or Wifi, or telephone signal on our boats.

*Gratuities: Tips for guides and staff are not included. An average of US$ 150.00 per person is suggested, envelopes will be provided in your rooms.

* Check-in or boarding time is 03:00pm on the first day of the program. Check-out time, or disembarkation, is after breakfast at 08:30am on the last day of the program.

* Recommended flights to and from Iquitos: We recommend arriving in Iquitos no later than noon (12:00 pm), to be able to arrive in time to take the boat. The return flight must be from noon.
WHAT TO BRING?

* Clothing: Light and fresh pieces, blouses, swimsuits, shoes with rubber soles for the boat (rubber boots and waterproofs are provided by us), cardigan or long-sleeved shirts, windbreakers. The days are hot and humid while the night breeze is cool.

* Insects and mosquitoes: We recommend taking vitamin B or B-15 a few days before your arrival in the jungle. These vitamins are the best natural repellent against insect bites. Also, don`t forget to bring your repellent and anti-bite cream.

* We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, binoculars (it is very important to enjoy the fauna and flora. Preferably one per person), camera and spare batteries.
