9:00 AM - Meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel:
We will begin the day exploring the area near the Intercontinental Hotel. You will enjoy a walk through this emblematic area, with its modern architecture and green spaces, you will visit the Parque de las Banderas, which offers a fascinating panoramic view of the city and is known for its imposing flagpoles that wave the flags of different countries, representing Cali`s diversity and openness to the world.
09:30 AM - Carrera 5ta and Parque de los Poetas:
We will advance along the vibrant Carrera 5ta, an avenue full of life and color, where you can appreciate the wide cultural and commercial offer of the city. We will stop at the Parque de los Poetas, a space dedicated to literature and culture, where you can discover statues of renowned Colombian poets and taste a traditional indigenous drink.
10:30 AM - Walk through the Historic Center:
We will head towards the charming Historic Center of Cali. We will explore the colonial beauty of the Paseo Bolívar and cross the iconic Ortiz Bridge, a symbol of the city that connects the modern part with its historical legacy.
We will contemplate the majestic La Ermita Church, an architectural jewel that stands out in the Cali skyline. This imposing church, built in neo-Gothic style at the beginning of the 20th century, stands on a hill offering unforgettable views of the city.
11:30 AM - Coltabaco Building and Boulevard del Río:
After a short trip back in time, we will enter modern Cali; We will visit the iconic Coltabaco Building, an example of contemporary architecture and heritage of the city.
Then, we will walk along the charming Boulevard del Río, on the banks of the Cali River, where you can enjoy green areas, a relaxing view of the surroundings and a nice break to taste some of the typical flavors of the Valle del Cauca.
At this point we will also visit El Gato del Río, a peculiar sculpture that has become a representative symbol of Cali. You will learn the unique history of this work of art created by Hernando Tejada and its influence on the art and culture of the city.
