Vale Tancon Eco Village

Our first international trip as a family started wonderfully at Vale Tancon Eco Village. Check-in took barely five minutes, even with my teenager asking about Wi-Fi before we reached the room. Check-out was just as painless. Breakfast was a highlight: warm pão de queijo, homemade strawberry jam, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee. We also enjoyed dinner there—trout with herbs and creamy polenta was delicious. Peaceful, charming, and thankfully no paperwork marathon!

Cabanas Cold Mountain

We stayed at Cabanas Cold Mountain during our summer honeymoon and loved how peaceful it felt. Our cabin looked across rolling hills and Araucaria trees; opening the curtains at sunrise, with mist drifting over the valley, was a daily highlight. Breakfast was generous and homemade, especially the warm cheese bread, fresh papaya, and creamy scrambled eggs. We also enjoyed dinner there one evening: trout with herbs and roasted potatoes, followed by a small passion-fruit mousse. The staff were kind without hovering, and the cabin stayed cozy on cooler nights. It was a lovely base for exploring Urubici, with views we’ll remember long after leaving.

Pousada Cajuva

After a great weekend around Urubici, Pousada Cajuva felt like a calm base for a solo trip. Check-in took barely five minutes; the receptionist already had my details ready, and check-out was just as quick, with no surprise charges. I especially enjoyed the pool, which was clean and pleasantly warm in the afternoon, plus the shared lounge areas. There were wooden loungers, a hammock near the garden, and a small covered terrace where I read with coffee after hiking. The rural setting on SC-370 is peaceful, and everything felt relaxed without being overdone. I’d happily stay here again.
