Itacaré is
surrounded by paradisiacal beaches, many of them accessible only by paths
that cross the Atlantic Forest. Among the most famous are Praia da
Tiririca, known by surfers for its excellent waves, Praia do Resende,
Praia da Ribeira and Prainha, which frequently appears in the lists of
most beautiful beaches in Brazil. In addition to the beaches, the region offers
spectacular waterfalls, rivers for rafting and environmental preservation areas.
