We will start our day leaving from our selected hotels towards the Ushuaia Tourist Port where we will start our navigation. We will go to center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying the view of the coast as we move away. We will be able to see from the water the Maritime Museum (which was previously a prison) the End of the World Museum and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains.
We will navigate first to the island of Los Lobos where we can enjoy the sea lions in their natural habitat. We will continue to the Los Pájaros island, where we can see the beautiful Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants.
We will continue our navigation to the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and archipelago . Between these islets it is possible see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that sank in 1930.
We will cross the Beagle Channel while we will be able to see the Gable Island and the Puerto Williams Naval Base, located in the Republic of Chile. Then we will approach the Isla Martillo and we will stay near the beach, to be able to observe a colony of Magellanic Penguins that inhabit this place. Here we will see how the penguins curiously approach the catamaran, swimming below it and going out again. It will be a very funny watching and full of surprises that will leave us many photos and countless memories .
We will finally get to the Estancia Harberton, first Estancia Fueguina. This Estancia has a building brought from England! The Bridge family lived here, which was established after the closure of the Anglican Mission in Ushuaia.
In the ranch we will learn about the history of the Bridges family and their relationship with the natives, we will visit the reserve (the first nature reserve in Tierra del Fuego), the family cemetery, replicas of Yámana shacks, the old shearing shed, the carpentry, the house of the oldest boat built in Tierra del Fuego and the beautiful garden of the main house.
In the middle of the visit, we will take a break and have time to enjoy a comforting lunch (not included). In the Estancia, we can find the Restaurant Acawaia, where delicious traditional food is prepared, with fruits and vegetables harvested in the organic garden.
Due to its location on the hill, you will not only enjoy typical dishes of the estancia, you will do so with an impressive view of the Beagle Channel and its islands, the Andes mountains and the estancia's helme.
After the tour we will be returning by land towards the local port of Ushuaia, arriving at approximately 5 PM to direct us to our selected hotels.
