Details of this Activity

DAY 1 – TRELEW – PUERTO MADRYN
Reception at Trelew airport and shuttle to Puerto Madryn, located in the NE of the province of Chubut, on the shores of Golfo Nuevo and standing at the foot of a plateau, 120 meters above sea level. Briefing and presentation of the trip in a restaurant in the city. Lunch included.
Accommodation in a 3* hotel.

DAY 2 – PENINSULA VALDES
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will head for Estancia Rincon Chico, located 165 km from Puerto Madryn and 70 km from Puerto Pyramids, on the coast of Peninsula Valdés. In the Estancia we will have the opportunity to watch and learn about wild animals and stunted flora, which shyly hides its flowers and colours. Thousands of sea elephants have chosen these shores to breed.
During the whole year, they complete their life cycles along this 15 km stretch of wonderful beaches. On the tracks, you will be able to watch, record or photograph a wide variety of birds in their natural habitat. Lunch and dinner included. In the afternoon, we will take some guided tours of the tracks in the estancia.

DAY 3 – PENINSULA VALDES
After having breakfast, we spend the day exploring the Estancia with two more activities it has to offer: self-guided tracks and bicycle riding. The self-guided tracks are located in the farmhouse surrounding area and, with the aid of a printed guide, they will give us the opportunity to discover, watch and photograph the flora and fauna of the place.
During The bicycle riding we will vibrate with the land, race with the lizards, listen to the herons,  feel the wind and admire the  arrogance of the guanacos; experiences that will enrich your life. Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 4 - PENINSULA VALDES– GAIMAN
After breakfast, we set off to Puerto Pirámides, where we will set sail to watch and discover the varied fauna of the place. Sea elephants, penguins, dolphins and whales are some examples. (N.B.   The Franca Austral whale can only be seen during the months of April and December) We will then head for the city of Rawson where we will have lunch in one of the most traditional restaurants in the city.
After lunch, we will go to Gaiman, the most important colony in Patagonia that keeps the traditons of early pioneers intact, for a cup of  Welsh tea. We will spend the night in Hostería Los Mimbres.

DAY 5 - GAIMAN - COMODORO RIVADAVIA
After an early breakfast in the Hosteria, we will head for Comodoro Rivadavia. Located 450 km from Gaiman and living to the rhythm of oil industry, this city is one of the most important cities in Patagonia.  On our way, we will stop at Bahia de Camarones, where we will find one of the biggest penguin colonies. Accommodation in Hotel Lucania. Breakfast included.

DAY 6 – COMODORO RIVADAVIA – LOS TOLDOS
After early breakfast in the hotel, we depart Comodoro to Petrified Forest next to Sarmiento. This area lies on what was once seabed, creating a spectacular moonscape with great diversity of colours. Within this natural reserve, the centre of interpretation can be visited. Here we will find palenotological and archaeological remains from the region.  These gigantic fossils have an astounding effect on the viewer and  raise awareness of the importance of these treasures.
After a delicious asado (barbecue) in the national park, we will make for La Estancia Los Toldos, where we will spend the night. Dinner in the estancia included.

DAY 7 – CUEVA DE LAS MANOS
Well have breakfast in the estancia and start our journey, which lasts eight hours approximately, to Cueva de las Manos (cave of the hands), a cave- art site of 9000 years.
