We'll leave Madryn depending on the schedule of the tides. The alk takes about 5 hours and ends after 83 km at the end of Golfo Nuevo. From there, we head on a path of steppes near the cliffs from where we can see diverse landscpes, rugged coastlines, pristine beaches and unique sandbars.
Punta Nymphs is the home to a colony of southern elephant seals that can be seen throughout the year. We will walk very close to them but still respecting their space, not trying to intrude.
Since this area isn't a reserve nor a protected park, it's a very exposed and fragile ecosystem here.
We'll meet above the cliffs which are several meters above sea level.
Besides that, Nymphs is dominated by the lighthouse that guides the sailors entering the Gulf. It's one of the points that offers one of the most stunning panoramic views of the area, from which you can observe how the sea melts together with the landscape as well as watching the tides come and go.
