A full day exploring the history of this corner of Patagonia, contemplating a unique natural scenery and enjoying a creole lunch in a exclusive place.
The itinerary includes a visit to Lake Desert in the morning with the option to navigate to the northern margin, or hike to the viewpoint of Huemul.
From both places you`ll be able to admire the stunning views of the Río de las Vueltas, Lake Desert and the north face of the Fitz Roy mountain.
At noon, after a creole lunch, there`ll be various activities in the exclusive Fitz Roy Adventure Camp (FRAC) which is nestled in a beautiful landscape and located on the west bank of the Río de las Vueltas, 17 km north of El Chalten.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
08:30: Private transfer from El Chalten to Lago del Desierto (37 km., Provincial Route 23). Guided tour with photo stops and stories about the local history.
10:00: Arrival at Lake Desert, crossed from the viewpoints of the south bank.
10:30: Guided hike to the panoramic lookout Huemul (1 h, ascending 200 meters)
Optional, not included: Navigation towards the Punta Norte (45 minute trip).
12:30: Regroup, private transfer to the Fitz Roy Adventure Camp.
13:00: Reception at the FRAC, lunch (including a glass of wine or soda per person).
Afternoon: Nearby activities - short hikes, bird watching or simply relax on the premises.
16:30: Transfer to El Chalten.
17:00 pm: Arrival at the hotel in El Chalten.
