Details of Day Tours

Our tour begins with pick up at your hotel in El Calafate starting at 9:30 am.

We will leave Calafate to enter the Provincial Route 15, also known as the Route of the Estancias or as the Route of the Pioneers, where our guide will tell us about the present day of El Calafate, its flora and fauna, while we enjoy the Patagonian landscape.

We will continue along this gravel road, while our guide tells us about the past, until we reach the time of the ranchs to tell us about the emblematic strike of 1921 that we know today as the Rebel Patagonia or the Tragic Patagonia, whose most important point was at the Estancia Anita. This is how we will reach the Cenotaph in memory of what happened.

During this journey we will have panoramic points of the Sur and Rico arms of Lake Argentino until we enter the Los Glaciares National Park, where we will see the overhang with cave paintings and learn about the first inhabitants of the place, the Tehuelches.

Then, we will begin the trek towards the Mirador del Lago Roca, where we will be surrounded by the Andean forest. We will continue our walk towards the Nibepo Aike Ranch, listening to what life is like in this place. There, we will enjoy our lunch which will consist of Patagonian lamb with salad, drinks and dessert.

Finally, we will walk until we have panoramic views of Lake Roca and say goodbye to it, then finish with a one-hour drive along Route 11 towards El Calafate.
