Our adventure begins with the pick-up from the central hotels of Bariloche city, to take the route 258 and head towards the Steffen Lake passing by the Gutierrez, Mascardi and Guillermo Lakes. Once at the Steffen, at approximately 12:00 pm, we will enjoy a delicious snack before boarding.
Then we will get dressed with the river equipment and have a brief safety talk by the head-guide. We will be ready to start the descent of the Manso River.
Our raft will be guided by the current while we observe the flora of the National Park such as coihue, cypress, myrtle, maiten, radal, caña colihue, chilco. We will do all this, surrounded by the landscape of high peaks and exuberant vegetation. During the walk, we will be able to see birds like: Martin pescador, bandurria, avutarda and tero. The crystalline waters of the Manso will allow us to observe different varieties of trout.
As we average out the tour, the Manso becomes more and more exciting and we will navigate some rapids such as: Uvasal, Billiard Band, Hippopotamus Tooth, Roller Coaster and Magnetic Rock.
In the summer months the sun invites us to enjoy a dip in the warm pools that form the waters of the river and once we pass the confluence with the Villegas River we will find the most fun rapids. Our navigation will end one when we reach the Manso Inferior valley.
After this adventure, we will go to our exclusive lodge called "Puerto Manso", where we will change clothes and then have time to enjoy our delicious lunch.
A long table with a variety of fresh foods: cakes, breads, dressings, filleted meat, vegetables, fresh juices and something sweet arranged so that our passengers can prepare with total freedom an original sandwich or serve themselves the food of their preference.
Once this adventure is over, we will return to downtown Bariloche, arriving at the hotel at 7:00 pm approximately.
