This tour is ideal to get to know part of the history of wine and its magic, through the green landscapes and towering mountains of the valley.
The tour begins with the departure from our selected hotels in Santiago, to travel towards the Maipo Valley, where we will find the wine growing area with more wine tradition of the country. In this valley we will visit two of its main vineyards, all prestigious and recognized. Among the options to visit are:
Vineyard Cousino Macul: the only Chilean winery founded in the nineteenth century, is one of the most traditional vineyards of the valley that still maintains 100% ownership in the hands of the founding family
Vineyard Undurraga: One of the oldest wineries in the country, holder of awards such as Winery of the Year 2012 - Wines of Chile Association, Top 100 Wineries of the Year - Wine & Spirits Magazine (2013), Producer of the Year - 2013 SWA Merchant Awards - Sommelier Wine Awards.
Vineyard Concha y Toro: It is the largest exporter of wine in Latin America, and is among the top 10 brands worldwide, with presence in several countries.
We will enjoy tasting the best wines in the Maipo Valley and its different grape varieties and flavors. In addition, on both visits we will learn the process of winemaking, touring the vineyards, the production plants, the storage warehouses and seeing the finished bottled product.
Besides both visits we can also try typical Chilean food offered by the restaurant Manso Toro in the picturesque valley.
Finally, in the evening we will return to our hoteles in Santiago
