The tour begins with the departure from our selected hotels in Santiago towards the Maipo Valley, where the country`s most traditional wine-growing area is located and where the first vineyards were founded
In this valley we will visit 2 of its main vineyards, all prestigious and recognized worldwide. Among the options to visit we can find:
Viña Cousiño Macul: the only Chilean vineyard founded in the 19th century, it is one of the most traditional vineyards in the valley that still maintains 100% its property in the hands of the founding family.
Viña Undurraga: It is one of the oldest wineries in the country, holder of several awards. The interesting history of this vineyard begins in 1873, when its founder brought plants from France and Germany in lead capsules to prevent them from withering during their passage through the tropics.
Viña Concha y Toro: It is the main exporter of wines in Latin America, and is among the 10 most important brands worldwide, with a presence in several countries.
In this way, we will enjoy the tastingof the best wines of Maipo and its different varieties strains, aromas and flavors. In addition, in both visits we will learn about the winemaking process, touring the vineyards, the production plants, the storage cellars and seeing the final bottled product.
In the middle of both visits we will also be able to try the typical Chilean food that the valley offers.
Finally, in the afternoon we will return to our hotel in Santiago.
