Quiet nights and memorable breakfasts in Tiradentes
After a busy day exploring Tiradentes, coming back to Pousada Mae D'água felt like hitting mute. Even though it’s right on Largo das Forras, my room was remarkably quiet, and I slept with the window open—just birds and the occasional distant church bell. The staff were relaxed and helpful without hovering. Breakfast became my favorite part: warm pão de queijo, scrambled eggs made to order, fresh papaya, and a small jar of guava jam that was dangerously good. I also tried dinner one night; the slow-cooked beef with creamy polenta was perfect after a long walk. A peaceful, tasty base for my Tangol trip.
