A relaxed Salta wine day with kids

After a hectic year of work, this wine bus was a wonderfully easy day for our family. Our guide, Mateo, knew the Calchaquí Valley inside out and kept the kids interested with stories about adobe villages, altitude, and local grapes. The route felt well planned: hotel pickup, a relaxed stop at a small winery, a tasting with plenty of explanation, and lunch without any rushing. He even arranged empanadas and grape juice for the children while we tried Torrontés. Timing was spot-on, communication clear, and we finished feeling genuinely refreshed. Tangol made everything simple.

From Airport Pickup to Cafayate’s Vineyard Roads

Booking this tour was unusually easy. The Tangol team answered my questions quickly, rearranged the pickup around my flight, and even noted my birthday when I mentioned it. On the day, our guide Martín met me at the airport with a clear sign and a surprisingly detailed plan. He explained how the Quebrada del Toro differs geologically from the Calchaquí Valley, and pointed out a tiny pre-Hispanic irrigation channel near Cachi that I would have missed alone. Cafayate’s roadside empanadas and the vineyard stop made the long day fly by. I enjoyed every minute between business meetings.
