On a rainy day did you want to go out to eat the tastiest cuts of meat? El Fortín is the most popular grill in Iguazú, it is located within the reserve and has a buffet system (with a tray the food is removed), they have their star cut of meat: the chorizo steak but they are also highly recommended: the entraña, the pork ribs, and the loin.
Among the achuras, the most requested are: mollejas, morcilla, chinchulines and riñoncitos. Other jewels of this grill are the meat patties with pazas, the lemon pacu with noisettes potatoes and the provoletas.
If you are interested in trying the typical fish of the area, they also offer them grilled, fried and baked. The most requested by people are: El Dorado, another very tasty one is Surubí, it is the largest in the region. It is usually served in very large portions. It is a fish that can weigh up to 70 kilos.
Another excellent option is the Pacú, also known as "pig or river sucker". It is an autochthonous species, it belongs to the piranha subfamily. It is quite a chubby fish. For this reason, its meat is so appreciated, in El Fortín they serve it with potatoes stuffed with cheese or with mushroom risotto.
To close a great evening, I recommend you dessert is the El Fortín Cup, an exquisite cup of American ice cream topped with blueberries, dulce de leche and homemade whipped cream. You can also find the classic sucker candy.
