The neighbourhoods of Palermo, Nuñez and Belgrano have many guides who will tell you all the details of the history and you will be able to take incredible photos.

This is ideal for roller-skating because it is located in the centre of the city in the neighbourhood of Villa Crespo. It is advisable to reach this park by subway or bus as the main avenues of Corrientes, Díaz Vélez, Córdoba and Rivadavia are nearby. There are 12 hectares of green space where there are various activities which are all free. There is an amphitheatre, a lagoon, the museum of Argentine Natural Sciences and an observatory of the friend’s association of astronomy.

Within this green lung, there are many streets which permit roller-skating, but the most recommended is the perimeter lane of the park because it is specially made for cyclists and skaters, with over 1.6km of paved surfaces. From Monday to Friday you will find less people walking in the park, since at the weekend on the outer path there is a famous fair used for books and magazines, which many residents of the local neighbourhoods attend.

To get here, the close location to the centre of the city makes it easy. You can go by bus or subte (underground) because of its proximity to avenues Corrientes and Leandro Alem.

Costanera Norte Pachapark

The locals call this “Pacha” because this was the name of the nightclub that was on the plot of land previously. The Costanera is definitely one of the most pleasant places to skate, roller-skate and longboard, since it has the first track that opened in Argentina.

It is located in a park of more than 7 hectares in Palermo, with a large plantation and bordering the river. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. During the weekend, people come as a family to relax and watch the skaters.

The use of this space is free and there are several facilities: a track and small ramps perfect for beginners and the most experienced, the 50-meter diameter snakebowl, three large ramps and even slacklines. The Costanera also offers different places to eat something quick. One block away you can try the famous choripan or the bondiola sandwiches from the restaurant on the pier.

Plaza de las Américas

Located in the Nùñez neighbourhood, this park is also known as the Skate Plaza de Converse. It has a skating rink that was refurbished a few years ago. It is located on avenues Figueroa Alcorta and Juramento. It was the first professional skate park in the city, together with Alberdi park.

There are more than 1100 square metres of floor perfect for skating and some obstacles are ideal for playing on the rollers. The construction of this track was based more on the need for “street details”, imitating the commonly used places such as public space, beaches, steps and railings. This place is also ideal for skateboarders but also for roller-skating, since there are areas shared by all.

In addition, the plaza has a lane on the side of Avenue Figueroa Alcorta to continue skating. This avenue together with others nearby such as Libertador, Cabildo and Lugones facilitate the arrival of many youngsters from across the city. They come to this area by car, bus, subte and train so that they can practice, have fun and compete. At the weekends sport events are often organised.

Paseo de la Costa, Vicente López

This is the typical place to go and enjoy the outdoors at the weekend. It is located on the coast of the Vicente López province of Buenos Aires. Its parks, games and extensive boulevard alongside the river make it ideal for those who live further in the city to skate and stroll. It is very common to see young people and families sitting in the parks, taking advantage of the proximity to the river to enjoy the scenery whilst enjoying mate, chatting and listening to music.

The circuit to ride roller-skates is three kilometres in length, it stretches about 25 blocks from Avenue President Hipólito Yrigoyen until the Avenue Francisco Narciso de Laprida. At the weekends after midday, free music shows are provided that you can listen to and stop to watch. To get here, you can go by car but bus lines also run on the nearby avenues of Libertador, Maipú and General Paz. For those who come from the centre of the city, the train to Tigre from Retiro is a good option. It is a journey of half an hour from Retiro.

We recommend that anyone who wants to take a bike trip through the north does so through a tour. In the excursion you will be able to visit in a different and fun way, explore the different neighbourhoods, markets and discover during the bike ride the Río de la Plata (River Plate) and the tranquillity of the city of Tigre. On the tour you will always be accompanied by a certified and bilingual guide.
