Nightlife in Santiago de Chile has never been praised because it has been overshadowed by other cities like Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. It is clear that the most interesting places in Chile are not related to its Capital. People prefer to visit Patagonia, Easter Island, and Atacama desert.
