It is located in the southern Peru. Arequipa shows its cultural and natural diversity in its deep canyons such as Cotahuasi and Colca, Its 3 volcanoes (surrounding the city) and its baroque buildings. These are tourist attractions of this place. In addition, it has wonderful beaches, inlets and snowy mountains, keeping intact its historical, religious and ancestral legacy.

In its historical center, you can see the Plaza de Armas, an imposing main square, the Neoclassical Cathedral Basilica of the 17th century, which houses a museum exhibiting works of art and religious objects. The Historical Center of Arequipa, was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco in 2000.

However, the adventurous activities that can be done in this amazing city  are countless.

Rafting

One of the adventure sports that Arequipa offers its visitors is canoeing or rafting, which can be practiced in various places such as the Chili River, the Colca Canyon or the Cotahuasi.

Paragliding and Ala Delta in Arequipa

The experience of paragliding or hang gliding becomes even deeper when you cross the Andean skies. Flying in Arequipa takes a bit of work and it also requires a good physical condition. This activity is for those athletes who like challenges. The unexpected turbulence and changes in temperature will test the pilot's ability.

Rock climbing

Located very close to the city center, and under the imposing Misti volcano, it offers routes such as Crazy Chocho, a wall of 25 meters high and with a degree of difficulty of 5.9 C; Faisan ,11 meters high and difficulty 5.10C; La Gerva, 25 meters and 5.10C; Monito, 8 meters and 5.10C; Tango Central, 8 meters and 5.10A; and Tango Derecha, 8 meters and 5.9C, among others. Not far from the place you can also practice climbing, in a route that crosses 5 waterfalls of different heighs, with ropes and rappelling techniques, ideal for a day full of adrenaline.

Arequipa is a place for those who love adrenaline and extreme situations but it is also a city of culture and architecture.
