If you are a fan of literature, you are in the right city. Currently, it has more than 460 spaces for readers, which makes it one of the places in the world with the largest number of bookstores per inhabitant. Buenos Aires was always linked to literature, many times mentioned in books by great national writers, such as Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Bioy Casares and even by international artists.

But its fame is also due to its neighborhoods of poets and avenues, where books are the main protagonist, accompanied by spaces with astonishing architecture.

Ateneo Grand Splendid

It is the largest bookstore in Latin America and is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. It stands in the same space as the Gran Splendid Cinema Theater, inaugurated in 1919. In the space that functioned as a stage, today there is a charming cafe, from whose tables you can see the dome that is the allegorical representation of peace as I celebrate the end of the First World War.

In addition to the more than one hundred and twenty thousand titles in stock, it has a sector dedicated to record stores and the sale of movies in DVD format.
