Argentina stands out for its natural beauty. In all its reliefs there are landscapes that dazzle its visitors. However, there are 7 that manage to transcend.

The New 7 Wonders of the World foundation, the same one that crowned the Iguazú Falls as one of the world wonders, sought to promote places with impressive views and spread the cultural heritage of this country. That is why it launched a campaign in which the 7 wonders of Argentina were chosen.

The following are the winning places.  ;



Nahuel Huapi National Park

Shared by the Patagonian provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro, it is the oldest national park in the country. Humid and cold forests, eternal snow on its most iconic hills and a great variety of lakes, streams and rivers make up an exceptional landscape, admired all over the world. 

Hundreds of mammals, birds, native trees and one-of-a-kind fish populate every corner of the famous park.

On the shores of the lake that gives it its name, The cities of San Carlos de Bariloche and Villa La Angostura are located, with famous international ski resorts, which are visited by hundreds of tourists.

This National Park has numerous trekking circuits for lovers of adventure tourism.

With an area of around 400,000 hectares, El Bañado La Estrella is the second largest wetland in Argentina. It is in Formosa, north of the town of Las Lomitas. It is home to the Pilagás indigenous communities of the Bartolomé de las Casas settlement. Many of its members have become guides to this true jungle Venice. 

There is  you can see specimens of giant otter, maned owl, mbeorí tapir. 
Undoubtedly the "champales" -trees already dead that have lost their bark, covered with exuberant vines , mosses and even algae- are the trademark of the place.

Mina Clavero River

Its cold and transparent waters are a trademark of the Valley of Traslasierra, Córdoba. It is born in the Pampa de Achala thanks to the confluence of different streams.  It has a 102-meter waterfall that very few know about. 

It is the main attraction of the town of Mina Clavero and all In summer, it attracts hundreds of tourists who want to cool off in the mountains.

Perito Moreno Glacier

It is within the Los Glaciares National Park in the province of Santa Cruz. It is a huge block of world-famous ice. It is known because it advances without stopping, and they form a bridge. Every 2 or four years, it breaks and hundreds of tourists come to see the landslide. 

One of the favorite activities of visitors is to do a trekking on the ice wall or see it from a boat. The cheapest option is to see it from the footbridges of the National Park.

Big Salt Flats

Located between the provinces of Salta and Jujuy, is the third largest salt flat in South America. It covers approximately 12,000 hectares and is located at 4,000 meters above sea level

Its origin dates back to between five and ten million years ago, when the basin was completely covered with water from a volcano. 
Currently it is economically exploited by different cooperatives in the area which extract salt.
It is also open to tourism. Visitors must enter from the Jujuy side.
