If you are organizing a trip to the Argentine Northwest, Salta is a must-see point that you cannot miss on your itinerary. It is very important That  take into account  the variations of the climate in the city to be able to go with the appropriate clothing and equipment according to the season in which you travel there. For this, below I will mention the highlights to take into account.

In the city there are  times with clearer skies and it is usually from June to September , on these dates the days are sunnier and it is recommended to use sunscreen with factor 30 onwards, since UV rays are very strong, don't forget to bring a hat either.  During the clearest days, August is the month with the highest number of hours of sunshine per day, There is an average of 7.96 hours a day and a total of 246.78 hours of sunshine throughout the month, temperatures on this date are around 23 °C the maximum and 5 °C the minimum. Also January is another month where there are quite a few days with clear skies, there is an average of 6.2 hours of sunshine a day.

As for the cloudiest days, these go from December 12 and last between 4 and 6 months.

Another point to keep in mind during your trip to Salta is  sunrise and sunset times  to take them into account when organizing your activities. 

During  summer from December to February  the  sun rises at 6.30 am the first days, then in January a few minutes before 7 am and in February around 7.30 am. Sunset on these dates begins between 7.30 and 8 pm While  in the fall (March to May) sunrise is at 7.30 am and dusk is at 6.30 pm. 

For its part, in the winter months of June August the sun rises at 7.30 am and the sunset is at 7 pm. During the spring from September to November sunrise is at 7 am and sunset at 7.20 pm.
