This Argentine film tells the independent stories of a an older man searching for his lost dog, another man in his forties bringing a birthday cake to the son of a woman he is seeking, and a young woman moving with her daughter to compete on a television show. These stories intertwine on the lonely, long, and deserted roads of the south.

The Angel (2018)

The odyssey of the giles (2019)

The plot tells the story of a group of residents of a town who come together to undertake a common project: build a recreational center in the area. However, they are swindled by a local lawyer and banker leaving them without their money and investment. Instead of giving up, the protagonists decide to plan and execute revenge against the scammers.
This story takes place in the midst of a real political, social and economic crisis that occurred in Argentina in 2001 and that Even today, it continues to be an important precedent in Argentine history.

Wild Horses (1995)

This classic Argentine film from the 1990s portrays the story of an adult man who enters a financial institution and threatens to commit suicide if they don't return money that was stolen from him. Motorcycle Diaries (2004)

It tells the true story of a young Ernesto "Che" Guevara and his friend Alberto Granado, who embark on a motorcycle trip through South America. Ernesto begins to develop his social and political conscience, while observing the poverty and injustice in which many people in the region live, gestating the beginnings of his revolutionary struggle. The film is important for understanding the history of Argentina, especially in relation to the iconic figure of Che Guevara, one of the most internationally recognized Argentine characters, idolized by many and hated by others.

Brave Time (2005)

Tells the story of a recently separated psychologist who teams up with a police officer to investigate the theft of an arsenal of weapons at the police station. This film is an excellent option to learn the Argentine idiosyncrasy and its humor characteristic. In addition, it shows the reality of police corruption in the country, a theme that is very present in society. It also shows some urban landscapes from Buenos Aires and portrays the daily life of its inhabitants.

Wild Tales (2014)

This film consists of six independent stories, each with its own plot and characters, but with a common theme: the explosion of anger and revenge in extreme situations. The hilarious and chaotic situations range from drama to comedy. In addition, in one of the stories, based on a violent fight between two motorists in the middle of a road, you will be able to appreciate the spectacular landscape of the Quebrada de las Conchas, a few kilometers from the city of Cafayate, in Salta.

Nine Queens (2000)

The Official Story (1985)

This Argentine film explores the consequences of the military dictatorship in Argentina during the 1970s and 1980s. The plot centers on a history teacher played by Norma Aleandro, who begins to question her life and her beliefs when she discovers that her daughter adoptive could have been kidnapped during the dictatorship. The conflict addresses issues such as identity, justice and memory, taking a critical look at a fundamental part of Argentina's recent history. It is the first film from the country to receive the Best Foreign Film award at the Oscars.

The Secret in His Eyes (2009)

We begin the journey through, probably, the most acclaimed and internationally recognized Argentine film of recent years. It is mainly famous for having won the Best Foreign Film statuette at the Oscars.
The film is a detective film focused on a retired criminal court officer, played by the great Ricardo Darin, who is writing a novel based on an unsolved rape and murder case he worked on in the past. Through flashbacks, the investigation of the crime is shown, as well as his relationship with his boss, played by the actress Soledad Villamil. 
This famous Argentine film contains captivating scenes, adrenaline, suspense, action, a setting of a prodigious period and a remarkable narrative. My Masterpiece (2018)

In this story we will see the great actor Guillermo Francella playing a charming and unscrupulous gallery owner who tries to revive the career of an old painter in decline, played by the enormous Luis Brandoni. However, the strategy does not work until a crazy idea comes to light as a possible solution. 
The particularity of this film is that part of the locations are in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, an impressive region of northern Argentina located in the province of Jujuy, showing the charming and unique landscapes that anyone visiting our country should know.
