Details of Day Tours

The excursion begins when our vehicle picks you up from your accommodation in Ushuaia. As we move away from the city center, we head towards the Martial Glacier Trail Tourist Reserve, a protected natural area that is part of the mountainous heart of Tierra del Fuego.

As we reach the trailhead, the sun begins to set, tinting the sky with warm, soft tones. Here we begin a low-difficulty hike, perfect for everyone ages 5 and up, always accompanied by a specialized guide.

The trail immediately immerses us in the Patagonian Andean forest, surrounded by lenga, coihue, and ñire trees, with their leaves changing seasonally. As we advance, the murmur of the forest and the golden light of the sunset create an atmosphere of calm and connection with nature.

Little by little, the landscape opens up, and we begin to cross wide peat bogs—wetlands typical of the region—where the low vegetation allows for increasingly expansive views of the mountainous surroundings. The terrain is virtually flat, making the trail accessible and enjoyable even for those with no previous trekking experience.

During the hike, we stop at three natural viewpoints, each with a unique perspective. From these stops, as night fell, we began to appreciate the lights of the city of Ushuaia lighting up in the distance, contrasting with the dark profile of the Andes Mountains, the calm waters of the Beagle Channel, and the silhouette of its islands.

The last part of the journey offers us one of the most memorable moments of the trip: the absolute stillness of the nightscape, the immensity of the Fuegian sky, and the privilege of contemplating one of the most beautiful sunsets in the south of the world, amidst pure nature.

After enjoying this natural spectacle, we began our return journey with headlamps, completing Thus, a safe, magical, and profoundly Patagonian experience. Back in the vehicle, we began the descent toward the city, our souls filled with unforgettable images.
