The Buenos Aires Philharmonic is an Argentinian orchestra based in Buenos Aires. Founded in 1946, it is based in the renowned Teatro Colón, and is considered one of the most prestigious orchestras  in its nation and Latin America, and has received several honours in 60 years of history.
The Philharmonic Orchestra is comprised of instrumentalists of excellence and has received numerous national and international awards. It has been awarded with the prize for the best local symphony orchestra in 2008 by the Music Critics Association of Argentina, and won two Platinum Konex Argentina Awards as the best orchestra in the last two decades, in 1999 and 2009. 

The Teatro Colón (Colón Theatre) is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is ranked the third best opera house in the world by National Geographic, and is acoustically considered to be amongst the five best concert venues in the world
The Colón has always been a revered theater by the public and by the most renowned artists. It is home to the Ballet, Chorus and the Stable Orchestra of the Teatro Colon and the 
Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires. 
The present theatre opened on 25 May 1908, with Giuseppe Verdi`s Aïda.

The Philharmonic presentations are as follows: 
 
14.08 to 20.30: Arturo Diemecke Direction, solo Mariano Rey (clarinet) and Gabriel La Rocca (bassoon). 
21.08 to 20.30: Arturo Diemecke Direction, soloist Ray Chen (violin) 
28.08 to 20.30: Arturo Diemecke Direction, Gavriel Lipkind solo (cello).
