When we arrive, we’ll be welcomed with traditional, local empanadas and some drinks (Argentinian wine, beer, soft drinks and water). Our LUNCH will be a local asado (barbeque) with a variety of salads, barbequed veggies, a pudding and some coffee to finish, along with drinks. For MATEADA, later in the afternoon, we’ll provide coffee, tea and the traditional mate, along with a selection of cakes, alfajores (biscuits with dulce de leche) and homemade pastries.

La Porteña is the site where Ricardo Güiraldes, author of Don Segundo Sombra (one of the most important works of Argentine literature) spent his childhood. The period feel is still very much alive, and La Porteña was even declared a National Historic Monument because of the local Argentine architecture which remains intact.
