About this tour
At around 8:30 a.m., we will depart from your hotel by minibus to the Tierra Mayor Valley, located approximately 20 km from the city. At the beginning of the path is the shelter and, after equipping ourselves with crampons or snowshoes, we begin the walk where we cross large snow-covered valleys, frozen streams and centenary lengas and Coihues forests. Furthermore, the possibility of spotting foxes, condors and beavers is always latent.
After almost 2 hours we will reach our objective: the Emerald Lagoon, one of the most impressive landscapes in this region, more than reward the effort invested.
This lagoon is located in the heart of the Tierra del Fuego Natural and Landscape Reserve , the color of its waters and its geographical location, surrounded by glaciers and mountains of the Fuegian mountain range, invites us to stop to rest and take spectacular photos b>. It will also be the place chosen to enjoy our lunch.
After recovering our energy, we will undertake the return to the refuge through a different path than the one you left.
Finally, after another 2 hours of trekking, we will take the minibus again to return to Ushuaia.

Lo único es que el chofer que nos trajo de regreso a Ushuaia manejaba muy rápido 😅 Hice el tour a Laguna Esmeralda y todo fue genial, excepto que mi crampón se rompió y no había disponible para cambiar. Entonces al final de recorrido no la pasé tan bien.

This was our best day in Ushuaia! A beautiful afternoon outside hiking and visiting a spectacular glacial lagoon. We hiked about 3 hours through peat but they offered wellies for mud protection. The emerald lagoon was beautiful and although we didn't really see any beavers, it was interesting to see their dams and their damage. Our guide was so fun and informative. The dinner at a quaint log cabin ended the day perfectly! Would definitely do it again!

La marche a été faite en février et ce fut la meilleure chose qui me soit arrivée lors du voyage à Ushuaia. Mon fils et moi avons trouvé une expérience fantastique à recommander. Pouvoir traverser des forêts, des turbales et après une longue marche appuyée sur une branche de lenga, voir cette carte postale et être à l'intérieur de ce paysage ... c'était la meilleure chose Super recommandable

Der Spaziergang wurde im Februar gemacht und es war das Beste, was mir von der Reise nach Ushuaia passiert ist. Mein Sohn und ich empfanden es als eine fantastische Erfahrung. Wälder und Turbinen durchqueren zu können, und nach einem langen Spaziergang, bei dem ich mich an einen Zweig von Lenga gelehnt hatte, diese Postkarte sehen und in dieser Landschaft sein zu können ... das war das Beste. Super zu empfehlen
El mejor Trekking que hice
La caminata la realizamos en Febrero y fue lo mejor que me pasó del viaje a Ushuaia. A mi hijo y a mí nos pareció una experiencia fantástica para recomendar. Poder atravesar bosques, turbales, y luego de una larga caminata, la cual hice apoyándome en una rama de lenga, poder ver esa postal y estar dentro de ese paisaje.... fue lo mejor. Súper Recomendable.
