About this tour
On this half-day trekking and paddling experience, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the starting point. We begin with a 40-minute easy hike through native forests and peat bogs of Tierra del Fuego . We arrive at Laguna Mariposa , where we'll inflate the rafts that each participant carries in their backpack. The Pack Raft is a portable inflatable raft designed for use on all bodies of water, including technical whitewater, ocean bays , and fjords, and is designed to be lightweight enough to be carried over long distances . While we prepare, we'll receive a briefing on safety and paddling techniques.
At the lagoon, we'll practice our skills before entering the river. We'll paddle downstream for an hour, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Andes Mountains and valleys . Along the river, it's common to spot ducks, birds, and sometimes beavers.
Our first stop will be at a river beach , where the Laguna Esmeralda stream joins the Olivia River . Here, we'll take a break to eat and relax, enjoying the majestic surroundings.
We continue our journey through sections of native forest and shrubs along the riverbanks, connecting with nature and appreciating the unspoiled landscape. Finally, we return to the starting point, from where you will be transferred back to your hotel, concluding a day full of adventure and natural beauty.
