About this tour
The experience begins with departure from our office in downtown Salta (if you chose the option with transfer), heading towards the town of Coronel Moldes , on a scenic route bordering the Cabra Corral Dam.
After approximately 2 hours of travel, we will arrive at the impressive Juramento River Canyon , one of the best settings for rafting in Salta.
Upon arrival at the base , our professional guide will give a safety briefing and technical instruction , ideal for both beginners and experienced adventurers. After receiving all the necessary equipment, we will begin our descent down the river.
The activity includes an exciting journey through 12 Class II and III rapids, surrounded by the stunning canyon walls, offering a unique natural environment with geological formations and ancient fossils.
The descent ends approximately 12 km downstream , in the Los Lapachos area, where the vehicles will be waiting to return us to the base.
At the end of the activity, we will enjoy a traditional Argentine Asado (if you chose the option with asado), which includes different cuts of meat, sausages, salads and drinks such as water and juices, ideal to recover energy in an incomparable natural environment.
After lunch, you'll have free time to relax or explore the surrounding area . This region has great historical and archaeological value , as it was home to prehistoric animals millions of years ago, making it a fascinating place for nature lovers.
At approximately 4:00 PM, we will begin our return to the city of Salta.
