After picking you up from your hotel, we begin the adventure at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden. Founded in 1817 by King João VI of Portugal and declared a Cultural and Biological Heritage Site by UNESCO, this space houses a collection of flora from various parts of the world. There, we walk under the row of Imperial Palms, a symbol of the garden. We also explore the ponds where Victoria Regias, a species of water lily native to the Amazon region, bloom. You'll visit the orchid greenhouse, which displays more than 500 species. Along the way, you'll see trees such as the Pau Brasil, an emblematic and endangered species. The visit includes a guide to the Botanical Garden and admission. Once the tour is over, it's time for our Tijuca Forest Jeep Tour.
This area is part of the Atlantic Forest and was reforested in the 19th century to protect the springs that supplied water to the city. After our tour, we will return to the vehicle for drop-off at hotels and tourist areas in Rio.
