Day 1 | Arrival in Puerto Montt – Puerto Varas
Arrival on an AM flight to Puerto Montt and transfer to your hotel inPuerto Varas, on the shores of Lake Llanquihue.
In the afternoon, we will take aCity Tour of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas, visiting its main attractions, waterfronts and viewpoints, with a first glimpse of southern Chile among lakes and volcanoes.
Day 2 | Osorno Volcano Petrohué Falls (Full Day)
Departure from Puerto Varas along the shores of Lake Llanquihue, with privileged views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Ascent to the Osorno Volcano Mountain Center (1,240 m above sea level), with free time for photography, hiking, a coffee break, or an optional chairlift ride.
Descent towards Ensenada and time for lunch (not included). Nature, volcanoes, and picture-postcard landscapes throughout the day.
Day 3 | Llanquihue Frutillar – Night Navigation
In the morning, a half-day excursion visitingLlanquihue, a city that is part of the historic Settlers` Route, andFrutillar, a charming town with German heritage. A stroll along its waterfront, past heritage houses and a view of the Lake Theater, with Lake Llanquihue and the volcanoes as a backdrop.
Return to the hotel around 1:00 PM and a free afternoon to rest, pack your luggage, or enjoy Puerto Varas at your own pace.
In the evening, we will take you from your hotel in Puerto Varas to board the overnight sailing from Puerto Montt to Chaitén, exploring the fjords and channels of southern Chile.
Arrival in Chaitén at 08:00 hrs. Coordinated transfer from the port to the hotel. The morning will be dedicated to rest after sailing, while during the afternoon you will have free time to explore the town, walk along the waterfront, visit nearby viewpoints or simply relax and enjoy the Patagonian surroundings. Day 5 | Chaitén – Puyuhuapi (Regular Bus)
Free morning in Chaitén.
At 11:00 AM, departure by regular bus to Puyuhuapi, with an approximate journey of 3 hours through the pristine landscapes of the Carretera Austral. Arrival in the afternoon and free time to enjoy the town, its natural surroundings, and the tranquil atmosphere of Aysén Patagonia.
Early departure from Puyuhuapi to begin a full-day excursion to Queulat National Park, one of the natural icons of the Carretera Austral. During the tour, we will enjoy landscapes of rivers, mountains, natural viewpoints, and waterfalls. Upon arrival at the park, we will take an easy hike along trails surrounded by native forest to Laguna Témpano, from where we will have a privileged view of the impressive Queulat Hanging Glacier. Time for photographs, contemplation, and lunch (included depending on the option chosen). Return to Puyuhuapi in the afternoon. Day 7 | Puyuhuapi – Coyhaique
At the agreed time, departure in private transfer heading Coyhaique, capital of the Aysén Region. The journey, approximately 4 hours, travels through stunning Patagonian landscapes, with mountains, rivers, and forests always present. Arrival in Coyhaique and free afternoon to rest, explore the city, or enjoy its local cuisine. Day 8 | Marble Caves – General Carrera Lake (Full Day)
Early departure from Coyhaique along theSouthern Highway toPuerto Tranquilo. During the journey we will cross the Cerro Castillo National Park, with views of the imposing massif of the same name, valleys, rivers and lagoons.
In the afternoon we will take the boat trip on General Carrera Lake to visit the Marble Caves Nature Sanctuary, a set of limestone rock formations sculpted by water, considered one of the most amazing landscapes in Chilean Patagonia.
At the end, return to Coyhaique.
Day 9 | Exploradores Glacier (Full Day)
Full-day excursion to the Exploradores Glacier, located within Laguna San Rafael National Park. After a safety briefing and technical equipment check, we will begin a guided hike to reach the glacier`s ice. The experience includes ice trekking, cave exploration, blue ice formations, and direct contact with a living glacier, always accompanied by expert guides.
Return in the afternoon.
Day 10 | Coyhaique – City Tour Simpson River Horseback Riding
In the morning,Coyhaique City Tour, exploring its residential neighborhoods, viewpoints, and the pentagonal Plaza de Armas, as well as the local artisan market.
In the afternoon, transfer to theSimpson River area to enjoy aguided horseback ride of approximately 2 hours, along the river and through wooded trails. This activity is suitable for all ages and requires no prior experience. A snack is included at the end.
Day 11 | Farewell – Transfer to Balmaceda Airport
At the agreed time, transfer from Coyhaique to Balmaceda Airport to board your return flight, concluding an unforgettable journey through southern Chile and Patagonia.
