At Bouza Winery, you can enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and learn about the winemaking process, from the vines to the bottle. You will also have the option of hiring a semi-private transfer to and from Montevideo; or you can get to the winery on your own.

About this tour


The tour begins around 10:00 AM when a semi-private van picks you up from your centrally located hotel in Montevideo. If you choose to arrive at the winery on your own, the experience begins at 11:00 AM.

Once you arrive at Bodega Bouza, located about 20 kilometers from the city of Montevideo, we will take a guided tour of the vineyards and the winery where you will learn about the history of this family business and the winemaking process. In addition, you will be able to see the Bouza family's classic car collection. Following this, after approximately 45 minutes, we will have a tasting of four selected wines: a glass of Bouza Chardonnay, a glass of Parcela Unica Merlot, a glass of Monte Vide Eu, and a glass of Bouza Tannat, accompanied by a selection of bites specially chosen to perfectly complement the wines. After the tasting, we will go to the winery's restaurant for a three-course paired lunch where you will choose from four options for an appetizer, main course, and dessert. You will also have the opportunity to receive recommendations and suggestions for wine pairings to accompany your meal. If you want this experience to be even more complete, you can choose the option of enjoying a 7-course menu instead of 3, where you can enjoy the seven best dishes from the menu and seven of the winery's best wines, including grappa and Bo-Bo Gin. Each dish is specially designed to achieve the best pairing with each wine. After lunch, which lasts approximately an hour and a half, we will conclude this complete experience at Bodega Bouza. If you choose the option with semi-private transfer, it will take you back to your hotel located in downtown Montevideo.
