Throughout the day, you will travel approximately 42 kilometers through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, visiting its main stations:
Volcán , the starting and ending point of the route, Tumbaya , Purmamarca , Maimará, and Tilcara . Each of these destinations offers a unique identity, with characteristic landscapes, living traditions, and cultural offerings.
This activity is organized into two groups: Group A and Group B. Both groups follow the exact same route, visiting all the stations and with the same total program duration. The only difference between them is the departure time and the order in which the locations are visited.
Group A of the Solar Train of the Quebrada makes a complete tour through the Quebrada de Humahuaca following an organized itinerary that allows you to enjoy each destination progressively.
The tour begins in Volcán , the train`s departure point, from where the journey into the heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca begins. The first stop is Purmamarca , one of the region`s most iconic destinations, famous for the Hill of Seven Colors and its artisan market.
Then, the tour continues towards Maimará , known for its mountain formations like the Painter`s Palette, before continuing on to Tilcara , an important cultural and historical center where you can explore archaeological sites and enjoy the local atmosphere.
On the return leg, the train passes through Posta de Hornillos , a key historical site in the region, and then continues towards Tumbaya , a small and picturesque town that preserves the traditional essence of the ravine.
Finally, the circuit concludes in Volcán , completing a comprehensive experience that covers all the destinations along the route.
Group B of the Quebrada Solar Train offers the same complete experience, but with a different tour order, allowing for a more balanced distribution of visitors at each destination.
The departure is also from Volcán , from where the train heads first towards Tumbaya , a charming Andean town ideal for starting to connect with the local culture.
The journey continues to Purmamarca , where you can enjoy its iconic landscapes and vibrant artisanal offerings. Then, the train travels to Posta de Hornillos , a site of great historical value within the gorge.
Next, you arrive at Maimará , with its impressive natural formations, and later at Tilcara , one of the most important points of the circuit for its cultural, gastronomic and archaeological richness.
In the final stretch of the journey, the train returns, passing through the stations again until it reaches Volcán , where the experience ends.

¡Recomiendo totalmente el Tren Solar de la Quebrada! Es una experiencia única, súper pintoresca y ecológica. Los paisajes te dejan sin aliento y el guía sabe muchísimo sobre la zona. Ideal para sacar mil fotos y disfrutar tranquilo. Todo muy organizado por Tangol, me sentí cuidado en todo momento. Si visitás Jujuy, no te lo podés perder.
Absolutely loved this Solar Train of the Ravine tour! The train ride itself was super scenic, and those mountain views just kept getting better at every turn. The local culture stops were a nice bonus, and I loved learning about the region's traditions. Everything was smooth and chill, the guide was friendly, and it felt super organized. Would easily recommend this for anyone traveling through Jujuy and looking for something unique and memorable!
Esse passeio do Trem Solar da Ravina foi SENSACIONAL! O visual das montanhas de Jujuy é surreal, cada curva parecia um cartão postal. A viagem de trem é super confortável e o staff foi muito atencioso o tempo todo. Adorei as paradas para tirar fotos e sentir a vibe local. Para quem curte natureza e belas paisagens, recomendo demais! Me surpreendi com a estrutura, valeu cada centavo e a experiência ficou marcada na minha memória! Vai sem medo, você não vai se arrepender!
Unglaubliches Erlebnis! Die Zugfahrt durch die Quebrada war einfach atemberaubend. Die Landschaften sind spektakulär und die Atmosphäre total entspannt. Die Organisation von Tangol Tours war super und alles lief reibungslos. Kann ich jedem empfehlen, der Argentinien abseits der klassischen Wege entdecken will. Würde ich auf jeden Fall nochmal machen!
Franchement, ce tour avec le train solaire du Ravin, c’était juste génial ! Le paysage est carrément époustouflant, l’ambiance détendue, et l’organisation au top. On a découvert des coins super authentiques de Jujuy et croisé des gens adorables. Je recommande trop si vous voulez voir l’Argentine autrement.
