Day 1: Welcome to the Amazon Adventure
Upon your arrival at Iquitos
airport, we will greet you with a warm welcome. We’ll begin by exploring the
vibrant and exotic city of Iquitos on a city tour that will immerse you in its
fascinating culture. You’ll enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant,
featuring the finest jungle cuisine. Then, you will board the luxurious Aqua
Nera cruise and settle into your elegant suite. As we venture into the majestic
waters of the Amazon River, the evening will be dedicated to a dinner inspired
by the Peruvian Amazon, crafted by renowned chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino.
Day 2: Connect with Amazonian Nature
- High Water Season: We will board
skiffs to explore the Yanayacu Yacapana River, where you will have the
opportunity to spot exotic birds, sloths, and majestic hawks. You’ll also learn
traditional piranha fishing. In the afternoon, we will sail to the mysterious
black waters of the Yarapa River for a unique nighttime experience: wildlife
spotting under a starry sky.
- Low Water Season: At dawn, we
will begin the day with a fascinating birdwatching experience on the Amazon
River. Later, we will board skiffs to explore the Tahuayo River and try your
luck fishing for iconic Amazonian piranhas. As night falls, a nighttime
excursion will reveal the stunning star-filled sky.
Day 3: Exploration of Lakes and Communities
In the morning, we’ll sail to Lake
Clavero, where you can relax by swimming in its calm waters or visiting the
native communities that live in the area.
- High Water Season: In the
afternoon, we will continue our adventure in search of wildlife along the
Marañón River, where every corner of the jungle is a natural spectacle.
- Low Water Season: We will take a
walk through the lush forest of San José de Paranapura, famous for its
impressive giant water lilies.
Day 4: Farewell with Local Flavor
Our last day will begin with a visit
to a local market at dawn, where you will discover the vibrant products of the
Peruvian jungle. After disembarking, we will visit the Manatee Rescue Center,
where you will witness the noble efforts to rehabilitate these gentle creatures
and return them to their natural habitat. Finally, we will transfer you to the
airport, leaving you with unforgettable memories of this magical experience in
the heart of the Amazon.
