DAY 1.

** HIGH WATER SEASON – DECEMBER TO MAY **

We will pick you up at the airport and we will transfer you to the Doubletree by Hilton hotel to enjoy an exquisite lunch. Then, in a comfortable private vehicle, we will take you to the main port of Iquitos while you delight in a panoramic tour of the city.

Our staff will accompany you to your suite, equipped with all the comforts. Before setting sail, our bartender will surprise you with a cocktail of regional fruits and pisco, the national liquor. Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from the viewing area while you sip your drink.

When you begin navigation, our naturalist guides will present the travel program, highlighting activities, routes, wildlife and vegetation, as well as of fascinating historical and geographical details. They will always be available to answer your questions.

The welcome dinner offers you a unique gastronomic experience with Peruvian and Amazonian flavors, including vegetarian options and adaptations for special requirements. After dinner, marvel at the starry sky as we begin our adventure in the majestic Amazon rainforest.

DAY 2.

Begin this morning with an exciting boat excursion down the majestic Amazon River, exploring the exuberant flora and fauna that only this region can offer. Back on the ship, delight in our exquisite breakfast buffet, featuring a daily selection of traditional dishes, Peruvian specialties, freshly baked goods, and a variety of freshly prepared juices.

After breakfast, prepare for a unforgettable adventure to the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón rivers, the point where the imposing Amazon River is born. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe the enigmatic gray and pink dolphins in their natural habitat.

Before noon, we will return to the ship to enjoy a delicious lunch on board, followed by some rest time. Then, we invite you to a fascinating talk about the origin of the Amazon and the hydrography of its rivers, before embarking on a casual walk through the area. On this excursion, you will be able to find a variety of fascinating species, such as ophidians and reptiles, anacondas, poison frogs, anoles, giant ants and much more.

Back on the ship, relax with live music and a delicious dinner on board. After dinner, the adventure continues with an exciting night excursion in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, sailing along the Nauta Caño River in search of caimans, tarantulas, tree frogs, transparent-bellied frogs and other nocturnal species.

Before breakfast, Invite your senses to the third deck of the ship to witness the impressive transit of migratory birds. Then, we will embark on a boat excursion to the Yanayacu area of Pucate, one of the best preserved and protected areas of the Pacaya Samiria reserve, where we will enjoy a delicious picnic breakfast.

Before returning to the boat , those who wish can enjoy a kayak ride, experiencing up close the serenity of the black waters of the river and the opportunity to take a refreshing swim. Upon your return, our talented bartender will greet you with a demonstration of Peruvian cocktails, followed by a delicious lunch.

After a well-deserved rest, our guides will offer an enriching talk about Amazonian philosophy. In the afternoon, we will visit the native community of San Regis, where you can learn about their way of life and traditions. Additionally, you will learn from the ancestral wisdom of the community shaman, with the help of our interpreter guides, who will allow you to ask questions about spiritual connections and the healing abilities of the soul.

We will end this experience with a tree planting ceremony, contributing positively to the environment. In the community, you can also explore a small craft market where women display and sell their handmade creations.

Back on the ship, relax with live music and enjoy some downtime before the dinner, culminating a day full of adventures and discoveries.

 

DAY 3.

At dawn, start your adventure with an exciting boat excursion to the impressive Japan Lagoon. Here, you will enjoy a delicious picnic breakfast while contemplating one of the best preserved areas of the Pacaya Samiria reserve, famous for its curious pink dolphins. Before returning to Zafiro, we will explore the exotic Yanaquillo ravine.

Back on the boat, prepare for a unique kayak experience, sailing through the enigmatic black waters of the river, where you can cool off with a swim. Then, enjoy lunch on board and relax before our guides talk about fascinating Amazonian philosophy.

In the afternoon, go on a hike through the jungle and cross the exciting hanging bridges, getting a view incomparable wealth of the jungle from above. Upon returning to the ship, our talented bartender will surprise you with a demonstration of Peruvian cocktails, followed by live music to liven up the wait before the gala dinner with the ship`s captain.

It is crucial that you do not miss the enriching talk about the area`s endangered animals. In the afternoon, embark on a boat exploration along the Nahuapa River, where you will have the opportunity to fish for the famous piranhas using local techniques and equipment.

Before returning to the Sapphire, immerse yourself in the mysterious jungle during an excursion night in search of alligators, tarantulas, frogs and other fascinating nocturnal species. Upon returning to the ship, enjoy live music and a delicious dinner, capping a day full of adventure and unforgettable discoveries.

 

DAY 4.

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a visit to the indigenous community of San Regis, where you can learn first-hand about its lifestyle and rich traditions. A unique encounter with the community`s shaman will allow you to learn about their ancestral practices and the spiritual connections that guide their healing abilities. Our guides will be at your disposal to interpret and answer all your questions.

Then, you will participate in a meaningful tree planting ceremony, contributing positively to the environment. In addition, you can admire and purchase unique crafts, handmade by the talented women of the community in a small local market.

Back at the Zafiro, enjoy an exquisite lunch and a well-deserved rest time. Later, our guides will fascinate you with stories about the myths and legends of the Amazon. In the afternoon, we will embark on an exciting boat exploration to the Shiriyacu stream, where you will have the opportunity to fish for the famous piranhas using local techniques. Upon returning, marvel at the colors of the sunset before enjoying dinner accompanied by live music aboard the Zafiro.

After breakfast, start the day with a fascinating walk in Casual, in search of exotic wildlife, such as poisonous frogs and other unique species. During this excursion, you will also admire the majestic giant trees known as Avatar and the "Victoria Amazónica" or Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic plant on the planet. Here, you can explore a small craft market with works handmade by the women of the community.

At noon, return to the ship for a culinary demonstration by our talented executive chef, followed by a delicious lunch . Afterwards, don`t miss a talk about the origin of the Amazon before embarking on an exciting excursion to the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón rivers, the birthplace of the mighty Amazon River. This area is ideal for observing the enigmatic pink dolphins in their natural habitat.

DAY 5.

Start your morning with a visit to Nauta, the second most important city in the region. We`ll take a picturesque motorcycle taxi ride to the vibrant local market, where you can experience the authentic commercial life of the city. Then, we will return to the Zafiro to enjoy a delicious breakfast.

We will take a walk in the Florida communal reserve, in search of fascinating wildlife, including frogs, birds and other exotic species. In this area, you will have the opportunity to admire the majestic mahogany or mahogany trees.

At noon, enjoy a delicious lunch on board, followed by some rest time. In the afternoon, we will board a boat to explore the Pahuachiro area, known for its rich wildlife. We will return to the Zafiro, where you will have free time to relax before dinner.

Before breakfast, We will visit the charming city of Nauta, the second most important in the region. Upon arrival, we will take a motorcycle taxi ride to the local market, where you can get up close and personal with the city`s vibrant commercial life. Then, we will return to the Zafiro for a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, we will embark on a new adventure with a walk in the Florida communal reserve, in search of frogs, birds and other exotic species. In this area, you can admire the towering mahogany or mahogany trees.

Next, we will go by boat to the Pahuachiro area. At noon, we will offer an exquisite lunch on board, followed by a rest time. In the afternoon, we will explore the Yacapana area by boat, discovering its impressive wildlife.

When you return to the Zafiro, enjoy the wonderful light and the unmatched colors of the sunset in these latitudes, closing the day with an unforgettable visual experience.

 

DAY 6.

Before breakfast, we begin our day with an exciting boat excursion through the Yanallpa area of the Ucayali River, in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. This place is a true paradise for nature lovers, where you can spot a wide variety of native species.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast on board, we prepare for a new adventure: a boat excursion along the Tapiche River in search of wildlife. Before noon, we will return to Zafiro for a culinary demonstration by our executive chef, where you can learn the secrets of Peruvian cuisine.

After lunch, you will have the opportunity to attend a fascinating talk about the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. In the afternoon, we will depart by boat to the Dorado River for a fishing session using local techniques. Before returning to the boat, we will embark on a night excursion in search of alligators, tarantulas, frogs and other creatures that emerge as the sun goes down.

We will end the day with a delicious dinner aboard the Zafiro.

At dawn, before breakfast, we will board a boat to explore the majestic Amazon River, observing the daily activities of the communities that live on its banks. Returning to the Zafiro, you can enjoy an exquisite buffet breakfast that includes a selection of traditional dishes, Peruvian specialties, freshly baked homemade products and a variety of fresh juices.

After breakfast, we will head by boat to the Yarapa River, known for its black waters, to explore and discover the rich wildlife of the area. At noon, we will return to the ship to enjoy a delicious lunch on board.

Before the afternoon activity, our guides will offer an interesting talk about local culture. Next, we will visit the community of Paranapura, where we will learn about their customs and lifestyle, guided by our expert interpreters.

At sunset, we will go out in search of nocturnal animals such as alligators, bats, frogs, tarantulas and others species that live in the lush Amazon jungle. Returning to the ship, you will be able to enjoy live music performed by our talented band on board, which will offer a varied repertoire of Amazonian, national and international music, before delighting in a delicious dinner.

After an exquisite lunch on board, we will prepare for an afternoon of exploration. We will navigate the Amazon River, observing the daily activities of the riverside communities. Before returning to the boat, you will witness the spectacular colors of the Amazonian sunset, an experience that will leave you breathless.

Back on the Zafiro, relax with live music before the crew presentation and a farewell dinner that promises to be memorable.

In the afternoon, we will board a boat for an exciting excursion along the Amazon River in search of the curious pink dolphins and other fascinating species. Before returning to the Zafiro, you can enjoy the impressive Amazonian sunset.

Back on the ship, relax with live music while we wait for the crew`s presentation and enjoy a farewell dinner that will close with a bang your incredible Amazonian adventure of gold.

 

DAY 8.

** BOTH SEASONS **

After enjoying an exquisite breakfast, we will embark on an unforgettable day that begins with disembarkation and transfer to the airport. Along the way, we will make a special stop at the Rio Mammal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, managed by the Amazon Forever organization. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to learn up close the admirable work of biologists and volunteers who dedicate their lives to caring for and rehabilitating manatees, an endangered species rescued by the authorities.

Discover the fascinating process of treatment and reintegration of these majestic beings in their natural habitat. Additionally, you will be able to observe other animals rescued from threatening situations or the illegal pet trade, learning about their stories and the importance of their conservation.

Your visit will not only be educational and moving, but you will also be able to contribute to this noble cause by making a donation that will directly support the conservation efforts of Amazon Forever. Lujo y magia en el Amazonas

Arranqué en Iquitos con Tangol y fue una joyita. El crucero de lujo por el Amazonas superó todo: cabinas cómodas con vista al río, gastronomía brutal, y guías capos que sabían de flora, fauna y comunidades. Navegar al atardecer, ver delfines rosados y amanecer con la selva cantando fue inolvidable. Las excursiones en skiff son seguras y bien organizadas. Servicio 10/10, detalles cuidados y cero estrés. Si querés mimarte y conocer el Amazonas de verdad, este plan es el indicado.

Wild Amazon Adventure With Comfort, Heart, and Epic Wildlife

Absolutely loved this Amazon cruise out of Iquitos with Tangol. Cozy cabin, cold A/C, and way better food than I expected. Sunrise skiff rides were magic—macaws overhead, sloths chilling, and we even spotted pink river dolphins. Guides were funny, super knowledgeable, and safety-obsessed. Night hikes and piranha fishing were highlights. Visiting a riverside community felt respectful, not staged. Bring light long sleeves, binoculars, and batteries. If you want wild without roughing it, book it.
