About this tour

Starting at 6:30 am, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the capital, we'll begin our journey northwest of Quito, ascending the slopes of the Andes Mountains. As we travel, you'll witness the landscape gradually transform until we enter the mystical Bellavista Cloud Forest , a private ecological reserve renowned worldwide for its biodiversity and its conservation of endemic birds.

Our adventure begins at the charming Bellavista Lodge, where we'll be welcomed with a comforting traditional breakfast while gazing at the mist-shrouded mountains from its panoramic viewpoints. Immediately afterward, you'll witness one of the most moving spectacles of the tour: the hummingbird feeding area. Dozens of these jewels with dazzlingly colorful wings flutter ceaselessly just inches from you, giving you the unique opportunity to observe them up close and even feel the gentle flutter of one landing on your hand.

Accompanied by our expert naturalist guide , we enter the heart of the reserve to begin our hike. Along the way, you'll discover the fascinating flora of the cloud forest: wild orchids, bromeliads, mosses, and tree ferns. With a keen ear, the guide will teach you to identify the calls of exotic birds such as Andean toucans, quetzals, and tanagers that inhabit the forest canopy.

At 1:00 PM, we'll return to the lodge for a delicious gourmet lunch prepared with local ingredients. With refreshed spirits and cameras full of unforgettable photos, we'll begin our return journey at 3:00 PM, arriving comfortably at your hotel in Quito around 5:00 PM, thus concluding a perfect day of reconnecting with Ecuadorian nature.

Día mágico en el Bosque Nublado

¡Qué experiencia! Con Tangol hice el full day en el Bosque Nublado de Bellavista y quedé fascinada. La recogida fue puntual, el guía sabía un montón y contagia pasión. Caminamos por senderos rodeados de niebla, escuchando el bosque vivo, y vimos colibríes a centímetros, tangaras y tucanes. Los miradores son de postal. El almuerzo en el lodge estuvo riquísimo. Consejo: lleva impermeable y buen calzado. Si te gusta la naturaleza, este tour es un sí rotundo. Volvería sin dudar.

Magical Day Wandering Bellavista's Cloud Forest With Tangol Tours Team

From Quito, Tangol whisked us to Bellavista early. The drive into the cloud forest felt like entering a green dream. Our guide knew every bird call - within minutes we were spotting tanagers, toucans, and hummingbirds buzzing inches from our faces at the feeders. Trails were misty, muddy, and truly magical, with orchids and moss everywhere. Lunch at the lodge was super tasty. Pace was relaxed, with enough stops for photos and binocular time. Bring a light rain jacket, good shoes, and curiosity. If you love nature, this full-day adventure is a must. Five stars for Tangol's organization.

Bellavista Nublada: Um Dia Perfeito

Experiência incrível na floresta nublada de Bellavista, no Equador! A Tangol mandou muito bem: tudo pontual, van confortável e guia super gente boa, manja das aves e plantas. Vi colibris de pertinho, tucanos e orquídeas raras. Trilhas bem sinalizadas, nível leve a moderado, com mirantes absurdos no meio da neblina. Leve capa de chuva, repelente e bota. Dia inteiro rende demais e volta com aquela paz na alma. Recomendo de olhos fechados!

Magischer Tag im Bellavista-Nebelwald: Kolibris, Nebel und Top-Guide, kleine Gruppe, wow Erlebnisse pur

Ich war mit Tangol auf der Ganztagestour in den Bellavista-Nebelwald – absolut magisch! Früh von Quito abgeholt, kleine Gruppe, bequemer Van. Unser Guide kannte jede Pflanze und jeden Vogel; Kolibris schwebten überall, wir sahen bunte Tangaren und sogar einen Tukanbärtling. Die Pfade sind gut, aber teils rutschig – feste Schuhe und Regenjacke mitnehmen. Mittagessen in der Lodge war lecker, mit Aussicht auf grüne, neblige Hänge. Wetter wechselt schnell, also Zwiebellook. Perfekt für Naturfans und Fotografen; ich habe hunderte Bilder gemacht. Tangol organisierte alles reibungslos. Würde ich sofort wieder buchen! Ein Fernglas lohnt sich total, ebenso Insektenspray.

Bellavista en mode chill: nuages, colibris et rando qui régale vraiment

J’ai adoré cette journée à Bellavista avec Tangol Tours. Transfert depuis Quito nickel, route superbe. On a crapahuté sur des sentiers moussus, niveau tranquille, et notre guide, passionné, nous a fait repérer colibris, toucanets et fougères. La forêt de nuages, avec la brume qui danse, c’est magique pour les photos. Pause café avec vue, puis déjeuner local simple mais délicieux. Il a bruine un peu: prends veste imper et bonnes chaussures. Organisation au top, stress minimal. Inoubliable pour les amoureux de nature.
