DAY 1
After picking you up from Puerto Maldonado airport, we will start a city tour. Later, we will go to the Puerto Capitanía and head for the Bajo Madre de Dios River. During the 2-hour drive, you can observe a diversity of flora
and wildlife. We will arrive at the lodge, and after accommodating, we will have a delicious
Amazonian lunch.
By late, we will walk through the
jungle until you reach Cocha Caiman, a small lagoon that has
black and white alligators. After the beautiful sunset, we will return to the lodge
for dinner and rest.
DAY 2
After breakfast, we will start a
fantastic walking tour in the depths of the jungle, until reach Lake Apu Victor, surrounded by immense swamps and crystal clear waters. We will go up
to the Amazon Viewpoint, to admire the spectacular jungle views, as well
as birds and various animals like the lazy bear.
After a good lunch, we will leave the lodge again, to visit the Monkey Island. This special
place, houses a variety of species of monkeys, birds and various
animals. We will enjoy the sunset, then return to the lodge and
enjoy dinner.
DAY 3
We will wake up listening to all
the sounds of the animals that live in the wonderful Amazon rainforest.
We will have a delicious breakfast, and then we will start the tour of the
virgin jungle to Cocha Perdida, a place that houses a unique ecosystem in
the world. We will have the chance to see otters, alligators, turtles, and a great variety of birds. We will visit the Amazon viewpoint, and appreciate the beauty
of the jungle, and its spectacular landscapes. We will return to the lodge to
have lunch.
In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the local Botanic Garden, or take a fresh bath in the river. Enjoy a
relaxing moment admiring the wonderful sunset. At night we will enjoy dinner, and a well deserve rest.
DAY 4
After breakfast, we will start a
excursion navigating the Madre de Dios River, until you reach the Gamitana River or
Briolo. In this place, you can enjoy a swim in its refreshing waters with
total security, or practice sport fishing with piranhas. You will also have the opportunity
of seeing animals like alligators and turtles, and we will visit an a local agricultural family on the shore of the river.
We will return to the lodge for lunch,
and in the afternoon, you will have free time to take photos, or visit the local botanical garden. In the evening, we will enjoy an exquisite farewell dinner.
DAY 5
After breakfast, and at the appropriate time,
we will go back to the city of Puerto Maldonado, so you can take your
next flight.
