Day 1 Arrival
to Cusco and city tour
Upon your arrival to the city of Cusco, we will take
you to the hotel located in the historical center (hotel not included). After a rest to avoid
altitude sickness, the city tour starts visiting the most representative Inca sites.
You will explore the Koricancha, also known as the Temple of the sun. The Incan Empire

during the colonization. The temple’s architecture is incredible, made with
natural stones. Spanish colonizers used the building foundation to build the Santo Domingo Convent.
Then, you will go to Plaza de Armas to visit the Cathedral of Cusco, a marvel of the
religious art. You will admire this beautiful square, the main meeting point of
locals and tourists.
The tour continues to the nearby ruins located around
the city. Sacsayhuaman, situated
just 1.2 miles from the city center. This archaeological site is a majestic
place with impressive works in stone, some up to 120 tons.
You are going to continue the tour to the red fortress
of Qenqo, a religious center
dedicated to the adoration of the Earth. Then, we will explore Puca Pucara which was used as a
military control center and, finally, the temple of the water of Tambomachay, a center of adoration and
worship of water.
Later, we will drop you off at El Regocijo Square.
