The tour begins with the departure from the Grey area of Torres del Paine National Park towards the end of the Southern Ice Field, where the Grey Glacier is located.
Located inside the National Park, the glacier has an ice wall that measures approximately 40 meters high and a combination of blue tones, which create an impressive natural view.
To get to the catamaran, a 3 km walk along Grey Beach from the nearest parking lot is required.
We will visit the glacier through the Grey III boat, which will take us to numerous floating icebergs and their diverse formations, ideal for contemplation or photography. After sailing for approximately 45 minutes, we will approach in front of the glacier, which is divided by a central island, where we will disembark.
This way, it is possible to enjoy in all its dimension the infinity of cracks and rises that constitute the glacier. Sometimes big ice collapses occur, which prevent the navigation of the Grey II boat, but it gives the opportunity to navigate by zodiacs, another way to enjoy this adventure.
