We will start our full day tour at 9 AM, departing from Santiago to the Cajón del Maipo area, an Andean canyon located at 900 meters above sea level. The Maipo River starts as a mountain stream on the slopes of the Maipo Volcano, and from this point it begins its descent and increase in flow.
Here we will meet with the rafting instruction team, who will give us a brief safety talk before starting the activity, to guarantee a correct performance of the activity. After receiving the necessary instruction from our team, we are ready to enjoy 14 kilometers of pure adrenaline.
During the descent through the waters of the Maipo River, we will be able to face the challenge of navigating from moderate levels to the fastest ones, without a doubt the most exciting ones. The descent takes about 1 hour, so when we return to Los Héroes Park we will be able to enjoy a delicious typical Chilean barbecue.
Finally, we will return to our hotels in Santiago, with an estimated arrival time of 5:00 pm.
In the half-day option, we will leave at approximately 9:30 am to Cajón del Maipo, where we will board the transportation that will take us to the El Melocotón sector. Here we will have an instructive safety talk where we will learn how the equipment works and then we will begin the descent of approximately one hour through class III and IV rapids. After the descent, we will arrive at Los Héroes campsite where, optionally, we can enjoy lunch (not included) and we will be returning to Santiago at approximately 1 pm.
