The tour begins with the departure from hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, following the Cordillera de la Sal. Formed millions of years ago and subjected to the action of rain, wind and sun, it resulted in a wide variety of natural structures, with different stratifications and colorations.
There we will visit the Valle de la Luna , which is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Famous also for its salt sculptures known as Las Tres Marías, formed by wind erosion. The wind also causes the terrain to be generated similar to that of the lunar surface, hence its name.
If you choose the tour that also visits the Death Valley, we will be visiting a great geographical beauty area where its salt formations seem to be sculptures or works of natural art. It is also an attraction for the possibility of practicing sandboarding.
Finally, we will end our excursion with the observation of the sunset from one of the highest points of the Cordillera de la Sal, the Kari viewpoint, and then return to the hotels in San Pedro de Atacama.
