We will start the tour at the meeting point and head towards the coastal area, the Serra da Bocaina National Park, where we will enter the Mata Atlântica, a neo-tropical rainforest considered a regional heritage site.
First, our jeep will stop at the Pedra Branca waterfalls, where we can take pictures and get in touch with the local flora. Afterwards, we will continue our journey towards Vila da Penha, for a walk through the forest that will allow us to observe different types of typical plants such as bamboo, bromeliads and chestnuts, among others; we will also be able to visit other waterfalls of pure and crystalline water, such as the Toboga and Tarzan waterfalls. As we go through the dense forest, we will be able to appreciate panoramic views of the Sierra and the historical city of Paraty.
After spending a morning exploring the forest, we will go to the next point of our tour, to visit the Alambique D`Ouro and observe how the cachaça is made in a traditional way. You will be told about all the procedures used to make it, and then we will have a tasting while we enjoy the impressive landscape.
We will end the tour at the same meeting point.
