We start the adventure early in the morning, picking up passengers from their centrally located hotels in comfortable vehicles.
Our first stop is the Rawson Port, where we embark to spot the Patagonian Dolphin, also known as the Pío Dolphin or Tonina. This small and charming dolphin is an endemic species, with males measuring less than 1.45 meters and females that can reach up to 1.52 meters. With luck, we will be able to see them in action, performing acrobatics in their natural habitat. These dolphins are very active and love to swim quickly on the surface, jump and surf the waves. This sighting is a unique opportunity as this is the only place in the world where they can be seen.
Next, we headed to the city of Trelew, where we visited the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum. Opened in 1990, this museum is the most important of its kind in South America and is famous for its impressive display of unique species. It houses nearly 40,000 fossils, including replicas and originals of dinosaurs such as the Patagotitan mayorum, the largest dinosaur in the world. Here, visitors have the opportunity to see dinosaur fossils and other ancient creatures, while understanding and learning about the entire geological history of the region.
Finally, in the afternoon, we return to the central hotels, taking with us unforgettable memories of this incredible excursion that combines nature, history and culture.
