Luján de Cuyo is a must-see destination for those wanting to experience Mendoza`s winemaking tradition. Located just 30-40 minutes from the city , this region is renowned for its history, vineyards, and close ties to Argentine Malbec .
On this private full-day tour you will visit three carefully selected wineries based on availability and the activities of each establishment on the date of your visit.
The experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Mendoza or Chacras de Coria . From there, you`ll travel to Luján de Cuyo in a private, high-end vehicle, accompanied by a bilingual driver-guide.
During the tour, you`ll learn about different wineries and discover how some of Mendoza`s most representative wines are made. Wineries that may be included in the tour are Lagarde, Finca Pulenta, Achaval-Ferrer, Susana Balbo, Durigutti, Benegas, Finca Decero, and Ojo de Agua .
The first visit may include a tour of the vineyards and facilities of a historic winery, followed by a guided tasting of different wines.
At midday, it will be time to enjoy lunch among the vineyards , an opportunity to combine Mendoza`s cuisine with the region`s wines. Depending on the winery selected, you can enjoy a full menu with wine pairings or a regional gastronomic offering.
In the afternoon, you`ll visit a third winery, which could be a small family-run operation or a winery specializing in high-end wines. There, you`ll have the opportunity for a final tasting and discover different expressions of Malbec, including reserve and single-vineyard wines, subject to availability.
After approximately eight hours of travel, you will return to your hotel in Mendoza or Chacras de Coria.
