Your adventure begins with the transfer from El Calafate International Airport to the El Chaltén Terminal , connecting both destinations comfortably so you can start discovering Patagonia without worrying about logistics.
Once in El Chaltén, you will prepare to take one of the most famous hikes in the region: the guided trek to Laguna de los Tres , a route that has been part of the guided experiences of Fitz Roy Expeditions since 1995.
The journey begins at the Electric River Bridge , from where the trail gradually winds its way into the mountain landscape. As you progress, you`ll cross lenga forests and observe the traces of ancient glaciers that shaped the valley.
During the journey, some of the great peaks of the massif will appear, such as Saint-Exupéry, Poincenot, Mermoz, Guillaumet and Fitz Roy , accompanying the path towards one of the great moments of the day.
Upon reaching Río Blanco , a former base camp for climbers, the most demanding section of the trek begins: the final ascent up the moraine. The total elevation gain is approximately 900 meters , making it a challenging hike.
The effort is rewarded when Laguna de los Tres finally appears before your eyes, nestled against the enormous granite walls and glaciers of Fitz Roy. This is one of the most iconic landscapes in all of Patagonia and one of the best places to appreciate the sheer scale of the massif.
After enjoying the scenery and resting in this unique natural environment, we will begin the return journey, exploring the Laguna Capri area before finishing again at the starting point.
The experience is accompanied by local mountain guides , with decades of experience hiking the trails of El Chaltén and a deep knowledge of the natural environment.
At the end of your stay, you will again have the transfer from the El Chaltén Terminal to the El Calafate Airport , completing a proposal designed to combine adventure and practicality.
