The excursion begins with the pick up at the passenger hotels in our 4x4 vehicles to begin a journey through the Patagonian steppe.
Among the cliffs and with views of the Andes Mountains , the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expeditionaries with the natives, to then enter the Tehuelche world . On the shores of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and which today lead us to its interpretation.
The excursion culminates in another cave, with a lunch or dinner that will transport us to those remote years.
We will have 3 stops :
First stop: On the shores of Argentino Lake. Interpretation of flora and landscape. Explanation on glaciology and geology.
Second stop: Cliffs of Punta Bonita. Panoramic views of the lake and the Andes Mountains.
Third stop: Archaeological zone. Rock art, Lunch or dinner in the cave.
Return to El Calafate.
