We’ll begin our Estancia Cristina Tour Classic to visit this ranch-style lodge, by picking you up directly from your hotel at 7am. We’ll travel around 45km through rural areas where you’ll see some lovely views of the local wooden houses.
When we get to Puerto de Punta Bandera on lake Argentino, we’ll hop onto a comfortable, modern boat which will leave the port at around 8:15am.
Making our way past towering icebergs, we’ll head towards the Brazo Norte of the lake up to the last permitted point of navigation on the Upsala Channel, where stunning views of the Upsala Glacier await. Then, we’ll sail down the Cristina Canal until we reach our stop at the ranch at roughly 11:30am.
We’ll stay at the lodge for about 6 hours, during which time we’ll visit the Museo Costumbrista (gaucho museum), located in what used to be a shearing shed, to learn more about the ranch and its history. We’ll also go on a short, half-hour walk to visit the Caterina river and the chapel, seeing for ourselves the historical side of the ranch. After we’ve visited the most important parts of the ranch, you’ll have some free time to eat a bit of lunch and explore the place yourself.
At around 5:30pm we’ll head back to the boat to make our way back over towards Puerto Punta Bandera.
We’ll round our unique tour off at around 7pm, at which time you’ll be dropped back at your hotel for the evening.
